It’s Time to Think Refresh

As we head into the holiday season, hosting family and friends is top of mind. I’m realizing that my home isn’t as homey as I want it to be. When we did the Des Moines version of Flip this House, I went with the generic gray walls and trim and not much has changed in 7 years. It has served us well, but it is time to change and adapt.

Fall is a great time of year to plan your projects. As we move into winter, a lot of us have time to tackle those small DIY projects, like my main level bathroom back splash (progress pics to follow.) I might also tackle adding a splash of color to the backside of my island. I am loving the Behr Blues color palette below for the kitchen. Green with a wood accent or wallpaper is calling to me in our main level half bath.
